Ep. 11: Literally Just Book It

1. You Don’t Have to Choose Between Work or Travel

There’s a fake binary people love:

  • Travel = irresponsible

  • Work = boring and sad

Reality? Most ambitious people want both.

You’re allowed to care about your career and want to see the world. Anyone who tells you otherwise is projecting their own limits.

2. Traveling Doesn’t Mean Going on Do Not Disturb Forever

If you run a business or have real responsibility, fully unplugging isn’t always realistic. And that’s okay.

Your phone can stay on. You can take a call. You can answer Slack from a different time zone.

It doesn’t ruin the trip… staying home waiting for “perfect conditions” does.

3. Ambition Comes With Notifications

Entrepreneur freedom is real, but it’s not silent.

You don’t get freedom without availability. You don’t get flexibility without responsibility.

A lot of people want the lifestyle without the trade-offs. That’s fine… just be honest about it.

4. Short Trips Still Count (Yes, Even Three Days)

You don’t need two weeks off and a personality rebrand to travel.

A long weekend counts. A red-eye counts.
Three days somewhere new still resets your brain more than scrolling at home.

If you keep waiting for “enough time,” you’ll never go.

5. If Travel Is a Priority, You’ll Organize Around It

Before big trips, we:

  • Finish high-priority work early

  • Communicate clearly with our teams

  • Accept that emergencies may still happen

Travel doesn’t require perfection. It requires planning and commitment.

6. Networking Happens When You Leave Your House

One underrated perk of travel? People.

Everywhere you go, you meet someone. Conversations turn into opportunities. Opportunities turn into work, friendships, ideas.

You can’t expand your world by staying in the same room forever.

7. Let People Live (Seriously)

Some people love structure.
Some people love movement.
Some people want both.

This episode isn’t about telling you how to live, it’s about reminding you that your way is allowed, even if it makes other people uncomfortable.

If you want more, go get it.
If you want rest, take it.
Just don’t let someone else’s fear decide for you.
